Hong Kong University Graduates Association
Who We Are
HKUGA is one of the two major university-wide alumni bodies of The University of Hong Kong (HKU). HKUGA was registered in 1976 by a group of young HKU graduates with the mission of providing a platform for our members to:
-
meet, exchange ideas, and continue their life-long development
-
support HKU and sustain its status as a leading academic establishment in the region
-
be actively involved in the community and in matters related to Hong Kong and China
The following persons may apply for HKUGA membership:
-
HKU graduates as Life Member or Full Member
-
HKU students as Student Member
-
HKU staff and non-HKU persons as Associate Member if they agree with HKUGA's mission and undertake to abide by HKUGA's charters
Many HKUGA presidents and members have been appointed or elected to serve as members of HKU Council, HKU Court, HKU Convocation Standing Committee and other governance and project organizations of HKU.
