Invitation to Join Volunteer Activity Supporting Tai Po Fire Victims

We are all saddened by the recent fire in Tai Po which has affected many families. To help them move into safe and comfortable homes as soon as possible, HKUGA and our 229th Scout Troop will be joining hands with Build & Wish Voluntary Team (IRD Ref. No.: 91/14666) for a special volunteer effort on December 20 and 21. Together, we will assist in preparing living spaces by moving small home appliances, and performing cleaning and simple home setup tasks.

We warmly invite all members of our organisation to participate:

Members and non-members of HKUGA and 229th Scout Troop
Participants below aged 15, preferably accompanied by adults

Activity details:

Dates: December 20 (Sat) and December 21 (Sun)
Serving site: Yue Ying Lau, Tin Wan
Time of gathering: 8:55 AM (morning session) or 1:25 PM (afternoon session) at G/F Yue Ying Lau
Sessions: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:30 – 5:00 PM
Quota: 25 participants per session on Dec 20 and 75 participants per session on Dec 21 (first-come, first-served)
Enrolment deadline: 5:00 PM, December 18 (Thu) by sending WhatsApp message to Ms Rita Lok at 94572228 and please indicate your available time slots. Your participation will be subject to confirmation.

Important notes:

Safety is the top priority.
Professional volunteers will guide key tasks.
Please wear suitable clothing (long pants, comfortable top) and bring gloves and face masks and bottled water.
