ATEC 2024 HKUGA Nomination Consideration Criteria

1. Market viability with milestones and value created

a. Business Performance Milestones set for every critical stage period.

2. Quality and competence of the management team

a. Management team personnel, background relevancy, and capability to drive the company’s advancement.

b. Organisation chart could be presented.

3. Business scalability and sustainability

a. Evidence of company’s ability to grow and robustness of business model.

4. Evidence of success, patents, certificates, IPs or endorsement

a. Illustration of the exclusive ownership of the critical technology and/or the business model of the company.

5. Innovativeness & uniqueness

a. Competition analysis - Any other similar or competitive products / services in the market?  If yes, how do you differentiate your products / services from them and what are your competitive edges?

6. Consideration of SDG (impact and Sustainable Development Goals and Global Goals)

a. Company’s vision in resonating with and relevancy in driving the success of the Sustainable Development Goals for all.

Startup Applications Guidelines

1. 10 slides presentation in PDF format

2. Nominated startups will be required to submit 3-minute pitch video on Pitchtape platform

3. English preferred

4. Technology or technology enabled business

5. Currently between the Seed and Series B stages of funding

6. All industry sectors welcome

7. Company must have an Asia element to business, but can be based outside of Asia

8. School affiliation for alumni club nominees preferred, but not required

9. Selection will be based on market, product, business model and team
